PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF WEB SITE
The purpose of this web site is to provide reliable educational material and direction to family, friends, and relationship partners of individuals affected by borderline personality disorder or borderline personality disorder traits (sub-clinical). BPD Resources on the Net culls and critiques third party print, Internet sites, video, and audio for it appropriateness for families with a loved one affected by BPD.
We do not consider ourselves to be the judge of what is best, but we have enough practical experience to weed out what is inaccurate or misleading and help family members start their research in a reliable and productive way. Information found on the web site is designed to support, not to replace the relationship between patient and their physician or other healthcare professional.

Doctor of Medicine (M.D. or D.M.) is a doctorate level degree held by medical doctors. The PhD and PsyD are a doctorate level degrees in psychology; the PhD is traditionally the more academic, research-oriented degree, while the PsyD degree develops skills associated with clinical practice. LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker - this license typically requires a Master Degree in psychology and the completion of a clinical practice internship. An MS is a masters level degree in psychology. CPC (Clinical Program Coordinator) is a position title.
